Also laid-back attitude, a lifestyle of fitness and adventure, and no one expects you to wear fancy clothes - even if you work for a bank! What's not to love?

We want to build our own house and not have to look at the neighbors, which is why we're looking farther afield.Aunt Messyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07424781871244170075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2904551769624343498.post-19264191747643621802011-04-10T10:03:16.948-07:002011-04-10T10:03:16.948-07:00Hi Schuyler! I'm nostalgic for your patio, even though I haven't been there.

Your made up letters and responses are hilarious, and a bit of hilarity is much needed in these times...

By all means go to Canada. The future in the US looks pretty shacky, what with these morons in Congress probably causing a double dip recession, and talking about doing away with Medicare, and the govt almost shutting down over subsidized pap smears, etc etc etc....

I always thought Canadians were smarter than Americans (though that's not saying much). They did after all avoid the worst of the financial catastrophe by keeping close rein on their banks. And they still emphasize preventive care, particularly of the women kind...

As a former political refugee (from WWII!) I can tell you that Canada is a safer long term bet for you and your family, not to mention the little one who'd love to play with his grandpa....Katihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05645682203535768013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2904551769624343498.post-32688527433982091882011-04-09T13:33:51.479-07:002011-04-09T13:33:51.479-07:00So...you don't like Edmonton, then?

Edmonton???? Have you listened to NOT...Edmonton???? Edmonton???? Have you listened to NOTHING I've told you? (shaking head wearily) Don't. Just don't. Trust me, I grew up in that purgatorial stew of Bible Belt redneckery! Listen to some of those people and you will be nostalgic for the tolerant and gentle folk of Charlotte. My in-laws have a leisurely mountain drive to Vancouver that takes two days (they still live there part-time).

Oh well, this is what Edmontonians sound like:

http://www.arrogantworms.com/music/me-like-hockey-2

And this is what the Rest of Canada sounds like:

http://www.arrogantworms.com/music/canadas-really-big-2

Oh well. Good luck with the move. We'll be in Oregon...where it doesn't snow.

The answers were, as always, brilliant. But you knew that, didn't you?Aunt Messyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07424781871244170075noreply@blogger.com
